Here you can currently bring very delicious food home, the Chicken Tikka Masala is legendary! I miss sitting here with friends, hopefully Corona will be over soon!

Great rotating menu and very kind staff

The Balthasar has been a permanent bank in Sülz for many years. Very tasty fresh menu, the schnitzel is awesome. The large aquarium through the back is a real pleasure for children and lets parents eat in peace ... Good selection of drinks. You can also sit outside in front of Balthasar, if the weather permits. Card payment possible. The mostly young staff could sometimes be a little more attentive. It's too loud from the kitchen (only sometimes), and sitting nearby can be a nuisance. All small things, overall a clear recommendation.

Great, great service. Selection of steaks could be better (no beef fillet). However, the Rib-Eye 300g was also very impressive. Lekka Kölsch. Nice location for families and small groups. The decor is nice, with a huge aquarium at the back. Price: Not cheap, but moderate ... well. Sparbrötchen go somewhere else.

Hard to beat in insolence !! I've been to the Balthasar in Lindenthal many times, but after yesterday it was desinitive for the last time in my life. I had an appointment with a friend I hadn't seen in a long time, we had an appointment to have a drink and talk and met at 7 p.m. A waiter assigned us a table outside in the evening sun and ordered two Kölsch. After we told the waitress nothing to eat and would like to have a few more drinks in the course of the evening, she informed us that this was not possible and that she would reassign the table in 10 minutes, but we (without table Pillows or similar) should be placed on a wall or should take a seat inside. The only strange thing was that out of 10 tables around us we ate at three and at all the others the guests only ordered drinks and no food. A lady even sat at one table all alone with a glass of wine and a book. Absolute indictment and no longer worth visiting the shop! The gastronomy was the industry that screamed the loudest because of the corona crisis, but Cafe Balthasar seems to be able to afford it !!!

I can only recommend it! The food is always really delicious, the drinks wonderful, the service incredibly friendly. I really enjoy going there and enjoy the flair and the good cuisine.

There is actually no better place for a cozy brunch than the Balthasar in Sülz. Food and drinks never disappoint and the service is always excellent. Also great for families with children.

Super shop, whether for a fantastic breakfast, coffee with cake or dinner: always well attended, great dishes well cooked! Always worth a visit.

At the recommendation of friends, we made reservations for your brunch and were so enthusiastic that we had breakfast with you the last time we visited Cologne. Everything we ordered was always tasty, fresh (especially the freshly squeezed orange juice <3) and lovingly presented. The service is also extremely friendly and very straightforward, especially when it comes to special requests or changes. We will be back definitely.

A very lovely restaurant with excellent breakfast options. The restaurant has a very relaxed and modern setting. The staff and waiters are also very respectful. You can also sit outside on the porch which has infrared heating. I recommend this place for any occasion. Very pleased about the experience, many thanks to the staff!

Lovely cafe. I popped in for a coffee and a pancake, everyone spoke English and were extremely friendly and helpful. Pancake was tasty (the other food that was coming out also looked good) and the coffee hit the spot. If you're in the area, I recommend popping in.

We were four students who wanted to have a brunch. We have never been treated like this by a waiter in our whole life. We have waited 20 minutes before the waiter deigned to take our order, then we wanted to have some tap water, he brought two glass of water for four people, he was not even able to bring us some water. After we finished we waited more than 40 minutes to pay the bill. This stupid waiter was walking just next to us without asking if we wanted to drink anything or if we wanted the bill. It's like if we never existed. I had to tell him that if the bill was not on our table in the next 5 minutes we would leave without paying. So suddenly, his colleague accepted to bring us the bill. Even if the food was ok and the price too, we will never go back to this restaurant. I am really disappointed by this experience, and this disrespectful waiter.
